I just found a coin that is about 2 1/2 inches in Diameter. on one side stamped 50 Years Forward With Ford 1903-1953 and on the other side the heads of Henry Ford-Edsel Ford and Henry Ford II. I think it is made of Brass.

I found this information on a past ebay sale. They had the coin listed at $19.99 (no bids) "This old coin commemorating Fifty Years Forward on the American Road was presented in 1953 to the Model "A" club of America at the Ford Motor Company".

    It's not a coin - it's a medallion or medal.

One of my reference books lists this type of anniversary token. It is a bit outdated, as most exonumia pricing information is. The Ford 50 year anniversary token (1953) was listed in 1992 as having a value of $5. Not much, but better than any of the other major auto makers anniversary tokens ($1-$4). Some of the smaller, old auto manufacturers' tokens had higher values, ranging from $10-$20, just to give some related info.

I wonder if any more richard k own this coin?, because this makes two of us. I also have this coin/medallian that my dad and I received as a gift for helping the local nuns move back in the early 1970's .
We found it in a desk drawer in an old house that they lived in .
I always referred it as my Bronze medallion . It has a bit a weight to it and it is way too cool to sell for below $100.00 even with sentimental value .
