I think I'll just make my own DB note.
I wonder if I'd get into trouble for making one in PhotoShop.

cool note, but the note is indeed priced rather sttep for what it is. it is only a $20 note ..

So is this note one of the better condition notes, or the worst?

Nope! Unless I hit the lottery - I never will either. I bet he bit it in the fall and the notes got scattered when he hit the ground. Sounds like a great treasure hunting vacation, I wonder how far down the river the notes could float or from how far they might blow to reach the river? Wouldn't that be cool to find the remains and a few decayed notes!!! It's fun to dream about!!!

    Cool post - Thanks

there would have to be a list of all the serial numbers used to pay Mr Cooper in order to know if a note that was found did come from his death.

i went through earleir today after seeing this thread, and read up on DB Cooper. I had never heard of it until today. It seems there is a list of all the serial numbers that was given, and if you believe the FBI never a 1, other then the river bank find, has ever turned up anywhere. it was really a neat read.

and yes, a shotugun using maybe #6 birdshot might be better then photoshop .. certainly easier :D

i meant to add the link to where i found the story.. in case anyoen else was interested

I saw in the news the other day that the FBI was reopening the DB Cooper case. This guy (the seller) is no fool. What better time to sell some of the loot than now when there is added interest because the case is back in the news and a whole new generation is learning about the case for the first time?

For some reason this case has always interested me. I think he survived the fall. IMHO, i think Duane Weber was either him, or his accomplice. The reason i think he had an accomplice, is because he had ordered 4 parachutes, 2 main back chutes, and two reserve chutes. One reserve chute was used in the plane, the chute cut up to secure the money bag. The second was inadvertanly given to him, as it was a dummy chute, used for classroom demonstration. the two main chutes have never been recovered. I wish i had 2.5k for a bill, but sadly, i don't. Guess it's time to shovel a few driveways :goofer:
