@clayirving added a nice introduction to the 1928A and 1928B experimental issues in my "And One More New $1 for My Collection" post. I've got all of them. They aren't the prettiest BUT they were all made for circulation to test a different type of paper, and these did circulate . I'll only show the Obverses since the Reverses are all the same as the 1928 Series. 1928A XB Block (raw) 1928A YB Block (PCGS Fine 12) 1928A ZB Block (PCGS Fine 12) 1928B XB Block (raw) 1928B YB Block (PCGS VF 35/Apparent minor stains; water damage) 1928B ZB Block (raw)
True, BUT there's a reason. Computer files appear in alpha order. If I use "Face and Back" the "backs" will precede the "faces" (IMO, wrong order). But if I use "Obverse and Reverse" then the images will come in the order that I prefer, front first.
When posting here, you select which photo comes first regardless of the name you use. To me, it’s important for the new collectors to know the proper vernacular for paper money.
I understand what you’re saying but like @SteveInTampa said, it would be more correct to use the proper names. Coins are obverse and reverse while paper many is front and back.
