What does Rick Snow see here on this Flying eagle cent? http://www.indiancent.com/6023-1857-snow-16-ms-64-pcgs-ps.html
Rick calls it the S-16. The bases 587 are visible twice among the feathers. They once called one of the marks a cud. It was delisted as a variety. Larry Steve discovered the misplaced digits. Cool coin. I actually have two or three of these I picked off of Ebay years ago.
It's never made sense to me how the digits could end up in such odd places on the obverse. I've always thought they were more like die cracks, rather than misplaced date digits.
