Hey guys, I was trying to find out some info about Snow varieties so I searched up "fly-in club" on Google and it popped up, however, it says that it's no longer a valid address. Does anybody know anywhere else I can read up about Snow varieties online? I don't want to purchase a CPG
My local library doesn't carry a copy of it. I don't want to buy one because I have a limited budget for my hobby. When I mean limited, I mean I have to sell my coins to get money to buy. Thanks hobo and desertgem, I will check it out!
My personal opinion is instead of saving to buy coins or selling coins to buy coins. Save and buy a CPG. Why - one good cherry pick and you pay for the books and more coins. I understand the desire to buy coins, but I have been convinced by this board that buying the books first will save on the mistakes. I mean just look at the one ldhair found. My first biggie netted me over $1000 - rare but still possible. I use my CPG alot and having it handy for ebay is a plus.
I have all the Snow books on indian cent varieties. Send me a picture or even description and year if you can. Some years have just two varieties that we could probably nail down relatively easily (while others have around 40, which would be hard).
Actually, it's having my parents that don't understand my collecting They're getting it...slowly The problem is, where do you get your coins to sell if you can't buy? Right now I'm trying to sell some coins that I found coin roll hunting to fund my buying of coins.
Sell coins buy books. Next work on getting job - or just go recycling, do extra work for others, chores for parents(or relatives) if a YN. Not trying to be smart or anything. But there are options to make some money. As it is if you can get the books from the library do that - borrow and keep borrowing until you can get your own set. I use mine all the time.
Not at all bud, don't worry about it. As of right now, I just turned 15 in April so I'm going to try and find a job during the school year.
I understand completely how you feel Stealer, I am 15 and I started "hardcore coin collecting" about 2 years ago. I started with a little bit of money and if you buy smart you can do really well! Good Luck! If you need any help feel free to PM me. I bought one of the Snow books and had Mr. Snow autograph it! It was great fun to meet him.
