Floating Tower halves

    Was it here I read about Floating Tower Bicentennial Half dollars?

    nothing on Google nor anywhere else.

    You need to keep in mind that people try to hype common errors in the hopes that new collectors will bite and pay significantly more than the coin is worth. The "In God We Rust" quarter is a good example. Just a common filled die, nothing more. Back when I was a kid in the 70s, it was the 1955 "poor man's" doubled die cent. Just common die deterioration but you always saw them advertised for a couple bucks in the coin magazines.

    Certain errors are valuable because knowledgeable collectors want them for their collections. You can get a pretty good idea that you're dealing with hype when error collectors like @paddyman98 have never heard of it. Sounds like the "floating Tower" is simply an overpopulated die. Nice minor error and fun to save, but if anybody were to offer you $1 for it, take the money and run
