I wanted to share the first results of a Christmas present to myself. I purchased 5 pounds of foreign coins on eBay. After an offer and counteroffer, I got them for $35.50 w/free shipping!!! A really awesome price to me.

I sorted them (about sixty-five countries) which took most of a day on and off. Now I am checking them country by country against my collection, I am a little over halfway through, and these are my results so far. I hope you enjoy taking a look at the massive scan of these coins. I also get a cool new computer desktop image! The remainder will come later. Have fun and Merry Christmas!!! :D

I recently got 3 pounds for about $20.00. Pretty much all common stuff, save for 2 or 3 better coins. But you are right...it is a lot of fun looking through them. Hope you find some good stuff!

Nice pickup! I want to get a big bulk lot like this! Let us know if you get anything good! How old are the majority of the coins? Any silver?

Yeah, 7 bucks a pound is not to bad considering some dealers charge $9.99 a pound.
