5 Good Emperors... ...in their new archival coin flips. I've always preferred the larger sized flips because there's more room for graphics.
Very nice presentation @Deacon Ray ! I'm afraid to say it but my coins are in a mixture of flips, small manilla envelopes, larger manilla envelopes, and a mayonnaise jar for the LRB's. I keep the flips and envelopes in a cigar box.
Those are beautiful, Deacon. I’m lucky to keep my flips looking vaguely similar to one another, but the polish with which you present your collection is inspiring.
Very nice as usual Ray. However, I think you should use Times New Roman or a similar font for your Majuscule (Capital) letterforms, as I am using here, on your header labels for a more authentic look (unless, of course you want them to be different). The font you are using now is more reminiscent of Greek or Uncial letterforms, the J (should be I) and U (should be V) were not used in the Ancient Roman alphabet (although you could employ the modern forms for readability) and the A, E and M forms are not Roman letterforms.
There are quite a few fonts out there that are based on actual Roman inscriptions, too. A Google search should turn up some. I use one called Roman SD for my flips. Edit: On another note, it's perfectly okay to use the current font just because it looks good. The flips aren't historical reproductions, after all.
Yes, just enter “Roman Inscriptional lettering fonts” in the search box (some include the modern J and U).
Those flips are fantastic! I really like how you've used statuary and color-coding to illustrate each of the rulers. And I love the coins -- you've chosen well-centered and attractive examples of each. I particularly like the Nerva and the Marcus Aurelius.
