Noost... Excellent finds! Love the stars! Not sure if the smeared ink on the 4 would qualify as a legit ink smear from printing or not? It looks as to have happened post BEP. Perhaps someone else may have an opinion? SGR
cool finds.. even the ones that are going back lol i agree about the #4 smear.. looks post printing damage so to speak
Thanks! Any ideas on the red inked notes or the longer one? I just expanded my search area 50 miles south today and ran out of $$. There are more available. I'll get them next week.
The red inked notes i believe to be post printing. Where would the red ink have come from during the BEP printing to get all over these notes? The longer note could be longer for several reasons. Its been shown on the forum in the past how a note could be shrunk. So maybe the longer note isnt longer, but the other note was made shorter. If the longer note is longer then most other notes, it could be a cutting error? Is the width also wider then other notes?
-Spock, only keeping the stars and longer note as of right now. -Daggarjon, the first red inking goes through to the other side. I can see now where the second red inking is some kind of stamp someone went nutso with. The Pic of the longer one are compared with 2 different notes. It is not wider, just longer. -Eddiespin, got these in mid-Michigan.
sorry to peck at the same question over and over... but on that longer note... is the design element longer as well, or just the whole note. If the design element is the same size, then the margains are just thicker and the note is possibly a miscut note. With the width the same as a normal note, it think that would rule out the methods in use to shrink notes.
Design elements are 150 mm. Appears the same size most of the time. Every now and then design elements are a hair larger or smaller than another $2.
