Some coins have not even got a one dollar bid? Can anyone explain why a gold coin wont even get a dollar bid. I saw many completed auctions not receiving evena starting bid. Is the hype going down? Thanks
Yes, I agree. You can't always tell the reason a listing was ended, but some of the ones with no bids were withdrawn "because of errors" (probably sellers didn't get the coins they expected) or more likely, because they were asking too little and wanted to relist the coins with a higher minimum price.
i wa sjust saying that i will buy 5 of the next coin that come sout inthtis series and laugh my way to the bank forget english get into money the universal language
i saw some of those auctions end when the time ran out and noone bought them and that is starting to bother me
Maybe ended early because the Mint 'cancelled' part of their orders and they're not getting all five. I have never ordered after an item has 'sold out' before, so I'm not positive about what the Mint's "Order Status" messages actually mean, but I woke up after the two hour window and went online ot order just the FS Unc's. I got the 'get in line and cross your fingers, buddy' message but ordered them anyway. Then, because I was ticked that they'd sold out so fast, I put in a second order for the proofs too. Didn't figure I'd be seeing any of them. I checked on my orders today and they show "Order Status: Your order request is in process." The FS coins all say "1 unit backordered. Expected to ship on 07/10/2007" I know this isn't a "for sure you're getting them" message, but if I do get them the Mint would have had to cut back a WHOLE LOT of orders because I didn't order until around 3 pm PDT. Oh, and my wife will probably kill me for dropping $1600
pre-sale vs coin in hand Hello all I am new to the forum, but being lurking for a long time. I am puzzled, most buyers on ebay are bidding on pre-sale first spose coin but not on a coin that is already in the sellers hand. Is there any reason to take a chance on a pre-sale???
