Today I had some extra money so I stopped at a local bank and picked $10 in pennies. (They came in a box from the Pennsylvania mint although they weren't new at all. So now I have a box that says $250 in dimes). I had high hopes and thought I would get some good pennies--but I was mistaken. However, I did get some decent pennies. Until today, I had a very small penny collection so I got what I could from the rolls.

Here are the best coins I found from the rolls:
    1968 S
    1971 S
    1937
    1945
    1945 D
    1946
    1952 D
    1957 D
    1959
    1959 D (3x)

I also found at least one penny from the years 1960-1989 (no mint and Denver mint) Most of these coins were in good condition

Also, for some strange reason I found a dozen nearly mint 1995 pennies. I set those aside of course. I also found some newer shield pennies.

Although I love old (good condition) coins, I love fresh ones! Today I went to Speedway to get a coffee and some snacks, and the cashier handed me what appeared to be MINT 2012 pennies! I was excited to have these and quickly put them away. I wanted to go back and buy something else just to get more, but that would have been weird.

My girlfriend is going to pick me up more rolls from the bank she works by tomorrow. For some reason, the small town she works in has amazing coins coming and going. So wish me luck!
