First Moneta Reverse

    Surprisingly I didn't own any coins with a Moneta god reverse but now have one.

    Excellent reverse detail. I'm really surprised you haven't had one. They seem to be in abundance. A few of mine:

    that's a solid moneta mat!

    i thought i had a nice one, but don't. i have a very poor constantius chlorus one..but man is it ugly.

    i'll post a nice looking galerius instead.

    This Alexandria mint Septimius is distinctive in that it did not shorten MONETA or make it share the A with the start of AVG as seem at most mints.

    Love all the 'Moneta' posts!!! Especially Mats Op with that detailed reverse...and Bing has a few really excellent examples as well.

    I'm sure I must have one but damned if I can recall off-hand anymore... Hmmm, Is that because I'm accumulating or bidding on too many or is that another example of the 'Joys of Ageing'??? LOL

    I'll check a bit later before the Football Marathon ensues....

    I still own no Abundantia or Annona god reverses.:confused:

    Here's my first Moneta. It sadly just made me realize I had an ancient coin dealer in town this weekend and I missed him! Dang work! Anyway, I think of this coin as my second ancient coin purchase. When I saw this coin, it was the first time I ever saw a "large" bronze because everything else I owned was much smaller.
