First Low SN Find!

  1. Hey, everyone! I'm brand-new to this forum and fairly new to the hobby of collecting coins and notes, but I've got something I'd like to share with you. Today I found my first low serial note! It's a 2009 $1 with SN B00006027C.

Okay, so it's not SUPER low, but I've never before seen four 0's in my pocket. I don't suppose there's much special about it - some wrinkles and such - but I'm keeping it anyway, being my first and all. :smile

And sorry about the sideways rotation. I'm not sure why it's uploading that way.

Welcome to the forum. Nice catch, if I remember correctly 4 zeros is the point where it is considered a low serial number. I have actually never found one. Closest I got was 3 zeros.

That's a nice find, and a keeper for me. My first four zeros bill was a $20, at that high denomination there's usually no premium associated with it. With a $1 bill, you can get a few dollars over face to a collector.

  7. Really? Hooray, I can say that I have a low serial! I wish you luck as you continue your hunt.

And thank you for the warm welcome, everyone! :D
