At last, I managed with some help to install the imaging software and learned how to manipulate features and tools including cropping. I admit as a beginner that the under shown coin lacks focus on the obverse. I'll do better next time. However the reverse is quite acceptable, and I believe it should help detect whether this Greek coin is genuine or not. In fact, this coin struck under Philip II of Macedonia during the fourth century B.C,was posted in a former thread. Viewers, among them experts, were divided in opinion as to the authenticity. But that was a scan, now we have a modern digital photography. The coin weighs 8.63 g. Thank you.
Well done Charles, you will get there with some practice. Photos are usually best taken straight down. I had some problems with this until I got a copy stand. Something along the lines of this, look for a cheap one, but one which will take the weight of your camera. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/42cm-Macr...382627?hash=item5b1790b1e3:g:f9IAAOSwTapV3YHU
