    fake.jpg
a Postumus double Sestertius (sellers pic with an upside-down reverse picture)
    a Alexandria mint Fallen horseman
and.. a Antoninus Pius Selge mint coin

But when i got them i noticed that the Antoninus Pius was actually a fake..
A seam around the edge, cast look , its in the Forum fake reports +.... It even has the name of the company that sent out the replica coins "SANDOZ" at the bottom of the reverse.. I guess i wasn't looking closely enough when i bid..

The auction house should have stated it was a fake instead of letting people fall for it.

I'm not sure how you bought these(i.e. separate or as a group) but i'm sure you could get your money back on the copy coin if you got it on Ebay.

    Yeah, they replied..

"With your notice I had to recognice that at one of the coins is in German Language you have got probably a so called "Reproduktion".
I am not a specialist for roman coins even classifiing original or reproduction ones,

Nevertheless please tell me if you have a problem with the transfer. How to proceed or act.
I from my side would like to have you as a satisfied customer with this transfer. "

not sure if I should ask for a partial refund.. it was about $30 for all 3 inc shipping

The seller i don't think meant to deceive you.. idk, it's your call. The seller wants you to be happy and come again, so do what you feel is right.. (ask for $5 back:p)

Are the other 2 worth the $30? I'd pay $10, maybe $15 for the FH if I needed it. So is the Postumus worth $15-$20 ?

The first thing I thought when I read this was "Sandoz? The drug company?" And that is apparently the case. There is another Sandoz-associated reproduction posted at a different discussion board which bears a silphium plant on its reverse, which was known in ancient times as having medicinal properties (hence, the probable reason the drug company used it as a promotional item).

I recently picked up a fake Hadrian dupondius in a lot, but the rest of the lot was genuine and worth the price, so I didn't return it. As for this case, I'd be pretty happy paying $30 for the Postumus double Sestertius alone.

I'd go with your idea of the partial refund from the seller to cover the fake - I've done this before and it beats sending everything back and screwing around with full refunds.
