A while ago I went through 40 rolls of pennies from the bank and kept track of what I found. Here are the results: Wheat: 1919-D 1945-NM 1945-S 1946-S 1953-S 1958-D Total: 6 Copper: 1959 1 1960’s: 52 1970’s: 146 1980’s Copper: 73 2009: Type 1: 1 Type 2: 2 Type 3: 9 Type 4: 0 Foreign: 1975-Canadian 1978-Canadian The numbers for the copper coins might be a few coins off, and they include all the non-proof S mint mark coins (68-74, 23 of them). I haven't checked for 1960 small dates and I'm planning on rechecking my 1970-S small dates.
I was too, especially campared to the other 2009 penny mintages. I've gone through 20 more rolls since these and I found 2 more wheat cents, 1957-D and 1944, along with alot more copper coins, 1 more 2009 type 1, and a 1961 Canadian penny.
as you can see, i get 2x wheats to 09s, thats a 4 foot full spectrum light, many look toned under it, but i need the vit D
I went through 8 penny rolls last night. I found over 3 rolls of copper (1959-1981), 4 wheat cents and 1 Canadian Cent from 1932. Pretty cool coin.
My set up is the rarely used dining room table in the dining room. The cats like it since they can roll around in the coins and wrappers.
Went penny roll hunting a few weeks ago, No wheat cents, 3 Canadian cents,1 2009 cent, This was the worst I have ever done. Maybe I have to wait a few more weeks and I will try again. Just keep Hunting.
