Correct! It was a nickel ha A Kennedy Lincoln penny, and some sort of blank planchet? A 48 with a neat tone. A 42 with no mint Mark? Finally a bunch of 40's nickels. Some pre and post war!
Wheats, woodies, silver and a V nickle? I'd say you did pretty darn good! I really like that woody on the left! Thanks, Jacob
On the 1942, it's a Philly nickel, There is also a rarer 1942-D with the D at 3'oclock on the right of Monticello. Then they made silver war nickels 1942- Large P above dome and 1942-Large S above dome. There's no regular S 1942 and no silver D 1942. 43, 44, 45 have all 3 mm's (P,D,S) above the dome.
@Michael K good to know on the 42. I thought all nickels from 42-45 were silver war nickels. I actually have a one of the silvers I found in change and that's the only reason I even knew they were a thing ha
The silver nickels will always have the oversized mint mark over the dome. The 1942 philly (NO mm) and 1942-D are not silver. There is a Henning counterfeit 1944 with no mm, and it's not silver, but it is still very valuable.
