A LONG time ago I remember buying those mixed bags of wheats at coin shows. I'd look through them, but at the time I was seriously trying to assemble an entire Lincoln collection no lower than AU. These were scathingly labeled by me as "barely Good" and set aside. I just pulled them all out and started seriously looking at them. Anything AG or lower went back into the bag, anything G or higher I'm putting into a 2x2 to probably trade or give away to kids. So far I've found a 1913-S in VF (value per magazine $25) and several other surprises. Including an amazing 1926 with a glowing sheen. I had to think about that one for awhile and I think someone dipped it in shellac or something--but it sure is pretty. Have you ever put coins away as unimportant only to "discover" them a long time later?
