So, I'm posting this thread from work because it excited me quite a bit. I found my first 2009-P dime last week and was throroughly surprised when my girlfriend called me over to her register and showed me two 2010-P dimes. I don't know how they managed to get into circulation around here but I couldn't recall anyone else having found one in circulation yet. Needless to say, even though its not terribly valuable, it made my day.
Nope not kidding. It's an G4 slight toning on observe. D mintmark is correct shape correct place. When I showed it to the shop's coin guy, he thought I was joking but within 5 seconds his jaw dropped and he was like a little kid. He said it was a first. They had people find altered 1916 but never an authentic. There were defintely giddy. I will probably sell it for a cheap price, since I have 4 others slabbed. EDITED
crud, all i found was a button that used to hold my wallet in, I guess I wore it out and a #6 lock washer...oops' "Tell your Mother before she leaves, her brakes not might work all that well" Nice finds and Happy Collecting
I got a 2010P dime in change today. Within a week, I've obtained a 2010 penny and now dime! Still no 2009 dime (P or D) though...
Nice find Lincolncent! What part of Georgia are you in? I actually just found my first 2010 P dime this week also and actually found 2 2009 P's while roll searching last weekend. I am in Marietta.
In NYC, they are available from the bank. They have rolls and rolls of the stuff (I have about 20, and will probably keep one at the most). It already has a higher mintage than 2009 (as per the mintage thread) and will only go up. None the less, I'm happy for you.
great!!! I have yet to come across the 2010 dime!!!!My wife works the register and she dont find me anything:crying: She came home one day asking whats a james buchanon dollar??? she gave it to me thinking i was going to be all giddy. i put a show on for since i knew she was just trying to act like she liked coins.
