Hmmmm, it appears I got a couple image addys wrong. (Working)

Here's the important one, the reverse of the High Relief.

    Rats, still got it wrong.
It shows up on the Edit page but not when posted.
I'll wander off and see if I can get it corrected.

    Oh, wait.
    NOW it shows.
    Whatever.

    Early copper.
I've been working on them for a while.

    HALF CENTS:
-- Draped Bust Set: Working on the Red Book listed coins in F/VF (minus 1802)
-- Classic Head Set: I've completed the set by Cohen variety
-- Braided Hair Set: I've completed the Red Book set (minus 1852 and 1840-1849); have to look into the varieties

    ONE CENTS:
-- Draped Bust Set: Working (slowly) on the Red Book listed coins in F/VF, particularly the 1800-1807 portion (minus any of the pricey ones)
-- Classic Head Set: Working (slowly) on the Red Book listed coins in Fine
-- Liberty Head (Matron Head) Set: Working (slowly) on the Red Book listed coins in F/VF
-- Liberty Head (Braided Hair) Set: I've completed the Red Book set

TWO CENTS: I've completed the Red Book set (minus 1873; I don't collect proofs)

@kanga absolutely beautiful type set. Congrats on completing it.

How long did it take from start to finish? Or did it morph from collecting one or two into a type set?

Don't know but probably something on the order of 25 years.
Some of the coins migrated over from other sets.
I know the WL half came from my birth year set.
    Stuff like that.

I wish I had the time (life-time, that is) as well as the money to go for the gold, although I do have a few gold coins. My collection of gold is spotty to say the least. My first gold coin was the 2009 American Eagle Ultra High Relief Gold Coin. Although I did get it for about $1,300, the down side is that PCGS only gave it an MS68. I have a picture somewhere.
My next gold purchases were the 2016 Gold Mercury Dime, 2016 Gold SLQ, and the 2016 Gold Walking Liberty Half Dollar, which I got from the mint.
With the price of gold today, it may be a while before I buy gold again. The 2021 Gold Buffalo coin is listed with the Mint for $2,740 which is a little steep for me right now.

@kanga, another superb post of your type set. But you're killing me, I am so far behind you. I've been focusing on other sets but now I'll have to get back to type.

    Game on!

Is that a proof ? Price seems steep.

For $2,700 you could probably buy an MS65 CAC Saint-Gaudens. Or almost an MS66.

It is a proof, but it is still too high for me. I bought mine in 2016 for about $1,700. I'll not sell or give it to anyone. It's a beaut. I also bought the gold dime, quarter, and half dollar that year. I was able to buy the SLQ and Walking Liberty Half Dollar straight from the Mint. I put in to get the gold dime if any were returned for whatever reason. I couldn't find anything wrong with it. I got the Apollo 11 5 ounce silver coin and several other special program coins. I won't buy McAul...'s coin or the one for law enforcement. I especially will stay away from the women's quarters. They aren't and never will be worth the money the Mint will charge for them. I do want to get a Saint Gaudin (or however it's spelled) double eagle.

    Saint GAUDEN'S. :D

You can get the generic common Saints for about spot gold, the premium for the grade/slab is offset by the .9675 ounces that it holds, not 1 full troy ounce.

Even MS65 Saints (non-CAC) can probably be had for about $2,200 give-or-take. Check the Heritage and GC auctions.
