I also want to publicly and sincerely thank everyone who nominated my posts. I'm very glad to be a member of CoinTalk, and to be able to pass on some of the things I've learned to other coin people. looks like I got one too... thought for sure I'd get 10 of them though since my thread was really thread of the week for 10 straight weeks just a bummer for all of those other great threads in the past 10 weeks that would have been winners if our threads weren't blocking the top spots. glad to see the feature isn't dead though of course
I think they're only good for bragging rights! Seriously, I don't know that there is anything to be done with them - they just appear below my avatar. I don't believe they're treated like the "credits" you get for posts (I plan to use those credits for advertising if I can ever figure out how to do it, or if Peter the rabbit ever gets out of that rabbit hole!).
I still have not heard from him - I'm not sure who sent me the points, even though the email notification said it was from Peter. I could tell it was automated, and not a personal email.
I was thinking the same thing about Jeffersons. Congrats on the TOTW awards. Just don't get to attached to them. Every once in a while Peter starts over from scratch. Clinker and I used to have double digits at one point.
Congrats! I'm not sure if my thread is eligble, but it seems my old thread on counterfeit detection got 3rd place. According to the rules 3rd place is supposed to get a TOTW, I worked really hard on that thread...I don't know what happened, but maybe 3rd place doesn't qualify anymore.
Hey GCL. Haven't seen you around. Don't feel too bad about it. My replica thread somehow went from having 10 nominations to 0. It looks to me like several weeks went by with no TOTW credit to anybody.
Hey, Nice to see you again Yeah, i haven't been around as much. I seem to cycle interests between numismatics, magic, and video games. Right now its stuck at video games..I'm still into numismatics but my passion seems to be more into other hobbies right now. I'm back up to selling on ebay and learning more about error coins (like machine doubling vs real doubled dies, deterioration die doubling)
I'm sure he's around. I am seeing change. This, the site is faster. There has been one post by him, and there was an update to the cointalk toolbar.
Congrats, Charmy! I'm glad to hear that you got the awards. It couldn't have happened to a nicer lady. I have only won a single TOTW award and it got wiped out the LAST time that they reset everything and I never saw it again. I'm happy for you, though.
