I was given a 1-year membership in the American Numismatic Association. I guess the application got lost in the holiday shuffle. Anyway I am happy and just waiting on my first issue of their magazine to round out my subscription to Coin World.
My Mom is lost when it comes to Chrsitmas gifts for me. I suggested a bunch of numismatic items, but she insisted on giving me the money to buy things myself. Great. But now I don't know what to spend it on!!!! I will probably use it to buy a bunch of reference books. I did use $25.00 of it to join CONECA, haven't heard anything back from them yet. Does anyone know how long it generally takes for an application to go through?
I got my CONECA membership package about 3 weeks after I sent my application, but they still haven't cashed the check, so I'm a little confused.
Thanks for the info Susan, I sent my application out Jan. 6th, so I prbably will still have to wait another couple weeks. I just hope it doesn't turn out to be like the CPG Vol. II and have to wait a couple years for it!! Still holding my breath for a Feb. release on that one!! BTW, I wonder why CONECA hasn't cashed your check yet? Do you suppose they'll just forget about it?
