Filled die?

Discussion in 'Error Coins' started by coincollector_9, Dec 21, 2011.

  1. I found this 1918-S wheat penny and I noticed that it looked like a filled die error. Look at "LIBERTY" and you'll see that the "LI" is missing. Please enlarge the picture for a better look.

A filled die looks like a good diagnosis. Nice wheatie by the way.

  4. I found it in my change. :smile Any idea on what it may be worth?

Probably only worth a buck or two in that condition. Maybe more if the right collector that collects these missing digit coins wanted it. Not bad though for what you paid for it.:smile

  6. Still pretty good for my first error find from circulation though. Thanks for the help!
