Filled die chips can occur almost anywhere on a coin. More often than not, we see them in some of the smaller letters where "posts" are used to form the inside opening of a letter or on a very sharp corner such as the "vee" of an "M" or "N". Die chips can also be found on the edge of a device where the face of the die drops off sharply. These edges just can't take the continuous beating despite being hardened steel. Anyway, here is a 1983 Lincoln 1c that I acquired in a bulk purchase at a garage sale about 6 years ago. It's not really worth much, but it's an interesting conversation piece. So, let's see some of your filled die chips. Chris
