Recent purchases include all U.S. coins 130-200 years old. 1) I picked up an 1837 Bust Half in AG/G condition. Fills the "Reeded Edge 50 CENTS reverse" hole. 2) An 1821 Bust Half in G+ condition. Nothing special, except that I needed the date. 3) 1807 Bust Dime in FR-01/ FR-02. The coin has all the details fully outlined and fills the "Draped Bust" slot- atleast I have one where I can see the date. My other is a 1798/7 (only ID-able by reverse stars). 4) I finally have a 20-Cent piece, even if it is the common date 1875-S. This coin is in G/VG condition. I'll post pics later after all the coins come in. I ended up paying only $200 for all the coins. I figure that these are great coins to have for now and I can upgrade when I'm older and have more $$$. My type set (non gold) is still missing the early dollars (Bust, Seated, and Trade), early type bust halves (1794-1807), all bust half dime types, early bust Lg Cents (1793-1807), and Coronet Half Cents.
Nothing wrong with the grades - I am finding on large cents I like the ones that are ag to fine. Also when you get "older" you may not have the "$$$". So good catch - and fell free to post some picts. I always like to see what others are getting - even though I don't collect most of those types of coins.
