Figured I’d make a new post, Morgan / Peace confusion

Welp, normally these days I’m out of it. I’m bored but occasionally playing with coins keeps me occupied. However, with the tpg’s moving so slowly I forget what’s in and out.

Following along here’s something I’ve not run into before, but quite possibly I’m nuts.

I’d ordered the max for the Morgan’s & Peace offerings.
    10 CC
    10 O
    3 P
    3 S
    3 D
    & 3 Peace
    Total= 32

When I received the grades and items pending to list, I observed I only had 2 D’s…but 4 Peace. So I figured Oh well, the mint screwed up but the total was still correct at 32.

Now well into sales, I noticed that while I still show only 2 Morgan D’s, that there are now only 3 Peace instead of the 4 which showed on Pending. And now there are 11 Morgan O’s instead of 10.

So as I wondered if I was stricken with Fog brain I looked further. I noticed this from my records: Item ID 1110260 which was showing as a Peace in pending, has now changed into a Morgan P, Item ID 1110260. Am I losing it? Or is there something going on. And where’s my 3rd D? And why when pending originally showed 10 O’s are there now 11??? AE9A0498-05E3-4409-B28C-147F929BA630.jpeg 58A05959-C9AD-4FF4-9488-6077CB73F536.png

When I've taken my car in for several items to be checked out in one visit, invariably I would get it back with at least one of the several items not fixed or even mentioned, so I've learned to limit it to two issues at a time/visit...likewise, I dunno, just a thought, but maybe you ought to limit the number of coins submitted at one time to make it easier/less likely they will (not) get mixed up with tracking so many at once. Understand shouldn't happen, but hey...our quality control and customer service these days isn't what it used to be.:wacky:

The order may be an update problem in the Software, and I would think that order fulfillment will correct the issue before shipping, but contacting is always the best solution.

They’ve already been shipped back in November, currently selling on consignment. The issue is as I stated, missing a D, offset with a 4th Peace, then the 4th Peace turned into a Morgan P, and an additional Morgan O popped up.

I only sent in 32. I’ve never encountered this and have at times sent in bulk orders of hundreds with no issue. You’re right about customer service as it’s really gone down hill, no responses to emails and an irritated tone whenever I call.

Thank you. I understand now. Is there a cost advantage to you?

I really don't feel sorry. I was only able to get 1 Morgan D and 1 Morgan S. It's bad enough that the Mint is selling to bulk buyers, but when coin collectors buy limited coins, it leaves those of us that buy our coins for our collection.
I really don't feel sorry for you. Maybe you could sell me the Morgans that I couldn't get at the rate the mint sold them to you, I would apologize.
I will probably get censored for this entry. I thought the limit was 3?? If I am wrong, I deeply apologize for my ignorance.

Yes, you’re wrong. I only ordered what was allowed. I wasn’t looking for sympathy nor do I care much about $. I’ve given away more money than some make in a lifetime. I’m not responsible for your inability to place orders or to support your needs.

    Found the missing D masquerading as a O privy…and a 68 to boot 05347B5C-0D5A-40B7-B8E5-37CC13A3FAC0.png

Well, from what you wrote I would say you could be possibly nuts. I could be wrong though. Good luck.

Haha, like a Mounds Bar. It has been figured out. PCGS mechanical error via labeling the missing D coin as an O privy.

I was wrong, it’s not over yet, just found another mislabeled coin, says CC but it’s an O.

And just found another Labeled as an O and it’s a CC.

I have faith in the grades though. as the scratches are bigger than the mint/privy marks.

You could blame it on COVID. On them and on you. Seems to be the trend these days. High employee turnover and clearly a lack of quality control at the TPG. Good luck.

Tell me how and we can talk. Maybe there is some middle ground that we can discuss our differences in our coin collections. Thanks.

I was being “thoughtful”, if you don’t want to take me up, I’m not sure what you want? I ordered what was allowed. I had an issue I’d never encountered and asked about that.

Record volume, state restrictions on the office, supply issues. Yea there's going to be some mistakes that happen. Someone just clicked the wrong Morgan rushing most likely

I probably shouldn't bother but can someone explain what the heck this is all about? You found one of your missing coins in an auction that hasn't even ended yet? Is this your GC watch list? What does a TPG have to do with any of it? Etc.
