I am not a coin collector by any means, just a lot of things have come up where I need a few extra bucks, and started searching coins I had laying around and figured no place better than here to get some helpful advice. First one is a 1980 Quarter that appears to have a line going across it, appears to be only on the front side. Second is a 2006 Nebraska Quarter, my question is do quarters rust? Appears to have a rust looking color on the front. And finally a 1973 penny with no mint mark? I am currently unable to post and pics, due to my very crappy camera. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
First welcome, The 1980 quarter could be anything from a die crack to post mint damage the Neb quarter No they shouldn't rust it could be anything from a missing layer to being in the ground the 1973 is from Philadelphia as they don't put mint marks on their cents To be more specific pictures are need to get more accurate
channel, We will need to see good photos to be able to help you with your quarters. Your 1973 cent does not have a mintmark because it was minted in Philadelphia. No cents minted in Philadelphia have mintmarks.
