Heres a couple additions I thought I;d share Constantius II, 22 May 337 - 3 November 361 A.D. Bronze AE 2, desert patina, mint: Antioch, obverse D N CONSTAN-TIVS P F AVG, pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust right; reverse FEL TEMP-REPARATIO, Gamma in left, soldier spearing Horseman, hair in braids, bearded, reaching back towards soldier, ANBI in ex Antioch 132 This one looks way better in hand, but the silvering makes it an ugly photo, but its Constans Constans, AE2. Silvered Thessalonica. DN CONSTA-NS PF AVG, pearl diademed, draped, cuirassed bust right, holding globe / FEL TEMP RE-PARATIO, soldier standing left, spearing fallen horseman who is bare-headed, forwards, on hands and knees. Mintmark TSA star. RIC VIII Thessalonica 116. I got this one because it reminds me of my dog that passed away recently, and I have another that reminds me of his sister who also died, a while ago. Tarsus (?), Cilicia 4th c. BC , AR 3/4 obol 10.33mm, 0.51g. Baal seated left holding a scepter in his left hand, grapes and corn ears in his right. Forepart of a wolf right, crescent to upper left
Heres the other coin I was talking about along with my dogs. Tarsus (?), Cilicia 4th c. BC , AR 3/4 obol .50g Baal seated left holding a scepter in his left hand, grapes and corn ears in his right. Forepart of a wolf right, crescent to upper left SGCV II, 5660. SNG Levante 223
I'd try the Constans again rotating the light or adding a diffuser to even out the light and play down the glare from the silver. It is always frustrating when you get a coin that looks good in hand but resists your efforts at photography but we are more than willing to accept it when we get an ugly coin that photographs better than we thought it should.
Those work. Cool greeks, I love those where the flan is so small they can only put the front of the animal. I always thought they looked weird, which is why I like them.
Not just you, the first post shows no pictures for me either and my browser is not broken. It can't be a cache issue if it doesn't load on the first time loading this thread, since it wasn't in cache before loading.
