    Added a new coin to my website, gotta say the Habsburgs are an interesting bunch :) I just uploaded it so there might be some errors still.

    Obverse: Crowned bust right with year 1655 / FERDIN [ANDUS] CAROL[VS] • D[EI] : G[RATIA] • ARCHID[VX] : AV[STRIAE] : / Ferdinand Charles (Karl), by the Grace of God, Archduke of Austria

    Reverse: Two coats of arms in inner circle, rossetta above and denomination (3) below / DVX • BVRGVND[IAE] : COM[ES] : TYROLIS / Duke of Burgundy and Count of Tyrol / Hall Mint

    20mm x 21mm, 1.59g, Silver
    Mintage: 1,891,000

    nice post and coin.
    I also find the Habsburgs very interesting.

    He looks fairly normal. His family must have grudgingly called him "pretty boy."

    Yeah, he doesnt look quite as frightening as some of his kin...

    oh...btw...on the site I list things in only two general sections, modern and ancient and on the whole, modern starts around the middle ages. :)

    I see what you mean, he doesn't quite have that Neanderthal jaw.

    Nice coin, I like the unusual perspective on the reverse shields.
