Interesting post. Took a look at the NGC POP reports as you suggested, any special reason you won't spring for the additional 7 dollars to upgrade your RB cent to a full RED, at least it would show in the report then. Just offering you a solution. I am absolutely amazed that such a big player in the underground coin market doesn't know that POP reports, all of them, including PCGS, are subject to considerable error. Really? You didn't know that? You haven't offered a recommended solution to your Teletrade problem, but anyone selling collector coins would be well served to fully investigate ALL alternatives available to them.
I doubt if a "big player" would make this post. One would also know that you have to pay your coin grading and return shipping fees before expecting them to send your coins back to you. I have done lots of business with Teletrade and sister company Stacksbowers. They have been very fair with me. If you are having problems with them you should contact their customer service team.
In the auction business there is something called a buy back. If you list a coin with them with a reserve and the bidding does not meet the reserve then you may be responsible to pay the auction company a small percentage for their wasted time and effort. It's a standard practice in the business.
I usually ignore people who don't like what they get and then make broad accusations like a child. As far as NGC is concerned, their census figures are only as good as the data provided them. I wonder how many collectors routinely crack out coins and don't bother to send in the certs so the figures can be adjusted? Complain to mama. She might make you feel better. On the other hand, why don't you "man up" (as Judge Joe Brown puts it) and discuss it with NGC? Chris
Everyone needs to dial it back a bit - you know how the saying goes about two wrongs. Treat each other with respect and if you have nothing nice to say, keep it to yourself!
