Well here in sunny southwest Florida money moves as fast as the snow birds drive. Which means I have only come into contact with the first 25 of the state quarters but so far my favorite one is Massachusetts. I just can't figure out how a state that seems to be the most liberal state in the country has a coin with a man with a firearm. Not registered at that if I know my history of the minuteman. In anycase, lets do a poll of what is your favorite state quarter and why.

My vote goes to Mississippi. Very simple, yet beautiful.

My favorite is similar to yours and for similar reasons - NJ. Just something about old George in that boat ;)

    Delaware.
    Simple, uncluttered design.
    Early American history theme.

South Carolina, of course. The reason should be obvious to anyone except a yankee ;-)

I'm not a Yankee. Of course I don't always recognize everything that is obvious to others.
    Care to elaborate?

I thought for sure that Jody was going to pick Virgina. New Jersey's a great coin even if good old George was leaving it in the picture. Missisispi's coin does need to be examined closely to realize it's superior beauty and being an ex-New Yorker, which I guess would make me a Yankee even if I grew up a Met fan, that's a sad thought in itself, I don't get the South Carolina thing. After all they are calling themselves the Palmetto state and in Florida that's what we call our roaches. Great feedback and thank you for paying attention to me which is more then my wife does. Only kidding... about everything but the thanks.

    Surely you've heard of this:

Besides this being the central reason for South Carolina's quarter being my favorite, I'm also a citizen of South Carolina though I now live in Virginia.

Nothing like that big old Conn tree. I like that one the best so far. But the new Florida looks pretty nice also. Well see when it comes out

I like Rhode Island quite a bit.

I really like all the boat/ship designs and VT is one of my favorites too.

i love the ships and scenes on coins. i hate the collages. i really like north carolina for the wright bros theme. i'm from ohio....we should've done a better job with ours for the wrights, the aviation heritage, and inventors in general. i dunno..our ohio coin pretty much sucked icky squishy things :(

I was all jazzed to really like Ohio with the spaceman, etc but it just ended up not doing much for me either. I can say the same about my homestate...IL. :(

I'll probably be called a homer here, but I gotta admit, the Charter Oak on the Connecticut coin is pretty cool. I'm glad to see a couple non-CT users agree!!! Honorable mention goes to DE, NJ, NC, MS, VT, and ME.

Hey rbm86 thanks for your input. Connecticut is a cool choice. I like the strength that the tree image emits. I'm not to happy with the Florida Quarter that I saw for the first time today. To much and not enough for me. I wish they focused more on one topic but what do I know other then what I know.
