I actually collect holed coins and have quite a horde. My favorite is a 1942 Walking Liberty half, due to the fact that it was worn through three wars on dogtag chains in my family (My grandfather, my father, and I).

Other than that coin, My favorites have to be my complete year set of Seated Liberty Halves (Very easy to find in EF-AU detail with holes, and very cheap!), and a my 1804 and 1807 holed bust halves. I have a good amount of holed gold, but none that I really 'like' too much.

I remember that thread,, That actually is a pretty nice coin even with the Hole !! I found it interesting that the hole was centered from the reverse ,, instead of the obverse, Must have had some significance to the hole maker.

Likable, no problem with me in using the coin for whatever you like, I wear a 1905 barber around my neck and my wife a 1916 No problem !!! Both have significance to us by date .

That is a cool thing, A family heirloom coin, with memories attached from three Generations and three wars, Really cool !!!

Liberty farted and blew a hole in the back of the coin. The eagle is curling its nose up. I love it. You do need a potty dollar to go with it.
