just curious what everyone like to sort through the most. halfs are out of the question for me in this small town unless i order a box at a time.
Dimes for sure. Consistent silver percentage (about one per box), easy to pick up at most banks if you don't have an account, quick to search in the plastic rolls, and the CWR around here often have 51 coins. Nickels are my third favorite: The best amount of silver per dollar searched after halves, and there are often interesting foreign coins mixed in (at a very small loss per coin). But you can't edge-search so doing a box takes a long time. Quarters just aren't worth it at all, IMO. And even though the wheat reverse is gorgeous, I'm just not that interested in pennies. BTW, have you asked your bank if they can order a box of halves, then buy half of it one day and half the next? Or even in two trips on the same day?
