I like my two 1878 carson city morgans that my grandfather gave to my father who gave them to me. I'll probably give one to each of my two sons.

I am still a beginning collector, but my favorite coin is a San Fransisco Proof Bicentenial quarter. I am going to find out whether it is clad or 40 percent silver. Check the price of a 40 percent silver bicentenial quarter.

I don't know......I'm hunting some that would be my pick...and I'm watching some at auction that I hope to win.....it would be hard to pick one...
BTW--I've been hunting a 1895O or S morgan dollar.....they aren't easy to find at a nice price....I'm helping a guy to a date set in mixed grade...so far only missing 2...

Tough choice. Probably a tossup between my one and only twenty-cent piece, an 1875-S XF, and my one and only Trade Dollar, a 1875-S VF. :)

Gold and economic freedom are inseparable.

I like Mercury dimes. I have a pretty nice Large Cent. I wrote an article calling the Buffalo Nickel "America's handsomest coin." For all of that, my favorite is my 1851 half eagle.

It is a common coin (377,505 struck) and there are no bizarre varieties -- 6 obverse dies; 5 reverse dies. It says only LIBERTY (obv) UNITED STATES OF AMERICA 5 D. (rev), with no other mottoes or slogans. This one grades Very Fine.

To me, the coin represents laissez faire capitalism and objective values.

Well have a couple that I always like to look at often... a 1957 100 yen coin from Japan, love the bird design... a 2000 silver proof 1 pound coin, love the Welsh dragon... among my favorite US coins are a 1867 2 cent piece, and a nice gold-toned 1943P Jefferson nickel. These would have to rank as my 4 favorites.

My 2 favorite banknotes are my 1 and 2 ngultrum notes from Bhutan. Love the artwork on them.

My 2001 1/10 oz Platinum American Eagle is my favorite. My wife gave it to me for our wedding year.

Any Walker in any condition. This design is so beautiful that it looks nice in ag to proof condition.

With me it's not one coin but a bunch of them. The 25 or more rolls of 1943 Lincoln Cents I have in plastic rolls. They were given to me over a period of time by my Dad when I was a kid and he is gone now so those coins remind me of him.

My favorite is my 1881-S Morgan Dollar. I asked you guys about the grade a while back and was suprised that many felt it was an MS-63/64 (I always figured it was around MS-60...but what do I know :goof: ). Anyway, it has some real slight proof like features and was the very first Morgan Dollar I bought. Since Morgan's have become my favorite, it is my favorite coin in my collection (dispite not being a very desirable coin)-I have plenty with more value but I like it the best. I also really like my 1893-CC Morgan (which probably grades F-12 at best) just because its a rare year and a CC.

I'm not sure I can pick just one, but if I were forced to, it would be this one (which should be familiar to many of you):

But I also really like this one:
