Shame on me for not having Fausta in my portrait series of rulers. Well, now i do!
It took me a while to find a decent one. I find the 4th century bronze Roman coinage mostly very dull, so it's quite a hunt to find something that really rocks my world. Here she is:

Fausta. Augusta, AD 324-326. Æ Follis (20mm). Cyzicus mint, 2nd officina. Struck AD 325-326. Bareheaded and mantled bust right / Fausta standing left, holding two children in her arms

Fausta of course was wife to Constantine. Are there any other reverses besides the 'Fausta holding children'? What does everyone else have?

Wow! Congrats, beautiful coin... Nice capture! Man you are running the table on all the Empire Portraits! I am only up to 103 Emperors and 3 Empresses.

    Sorry, I have no Fausta.

    Awesome Faustas @Bing
@Alegandron - i have around 140 rulers in the Roman series. Mostly all that's left for me to collect are expensive rarities, that I'm gradually working my way through. I do lack a couple of common ones - Theodora (her coins are mostly small and boring, so it takes a while to find a good one) and Drusus.

I have both of those, Theodora and Drusus. Nice work on the Rulers! I do not collect Empresses, so that is why I am so far behind. Maybe I will start collecting them and catch up to you. :) I am collecting them to eventually give my grandkids, so I am not going to pour the big bucks into the quality that you have! Great job on you collection!

Thanks man! I'm simultaneously collecting the English series of rulers too. I've started a Byzantine series, but I'm not into it as much - some of those portraits are a bit too cartoony.

It's not the highest grade example, but here's one with the SALVS REIPVBLICAE reverse, Treveri mint. STR(dot within crescent) in exergue.

I think that one from Alexandria actually reads SECVRITAS REIPVBLICAE. For this reason, I think it's Helena, not Fausta.

    Nice Fausta @Greg Heinrich

I do have one of hers and a Theodora too, but still searching a decent Drusus...

PS : BTW Greg are you sure yours is Cyzicus ? I see SMALB at exergue which would be that of Alexandria, 2nd officina rather.
Or is it just me ?

You are right - it is Alexandria not Cyzicus. Your Trier mint Fausta is excellent.

There's really only one more Ae type for Fausta. This one is not great but they are kind of tough to find.

I feel the same on BYZ. I have the first few Rulers as they were the "hand-off" rulers for the Western demise. Otherwise, they just do not interest me... the History is not to my taste.

Your English collecting is a fun idea... One of my Son-in-Laws is British, and that may be fun to build an English collection with my Grandson...

Roman Collector had a keen eye and was kind enough to point out that the second coin I posted above as Fausta is actually Helena. Sorry for the mistake.
