I got this $10 in change and was wondering if the serial is fancy enough to keep.

While it skips 4 and 7, it is counting and that’s where I saw the pattern.

The numbers are all ascending, but I don't think it qualifies.

I wouldn't post it as a ladder. Make up your own term, then you aren't lying.
"All ascending serial number" or something.

 

I'm so poorly knowledged of banknotes I forgot what ladder notes were lol.

I think these are all ladders. Going up or down in order, all 8 numbers.
