Is this fake? Looks too good to be in a roll. Also, the seller is lying, the pics of the "front" side and "back side" of the roll are the same. No wonder no one has bought it yet. http://cgi.ebay.com/OBW-OLD-ROLL-WHEAT-CENT-PENNY-BU-1909-VDBs-Both-Ends-/120659294215?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item1c17dab807#ht_4444wt_1191
Is this one of those contests when people should guess something wihtout seeing a photo or a link? I love those! My bet is that it is not a fake, what did i win?
It is also the same photo as the end on this listing from the same seller: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110623121354&category=11943 Look at his other listings, he has penny rolls with Mercs, 3c Nickels, etc. plugged in the ends. Also has a V Nick roll with a Shield stuck in the end. Ha Ha Ha! Shame, shame, thou kno'st thy name.
Fake as hell. I mean, they're real 1909 VDB's, but fake as hell rolls... probably stuffed with 1950's wheats.
He also used the same picture for another lot. Lol. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&hash=item19c1a6dfca&item=110623121354&nma=true&pt=Coins_US_Individual&rt=nc&si=ZUGv%252B%252BTXahiYvYQYxsCTu90gkmI%253D#ht_3721wt_1191
Out of 55 negative/neutrals, most all of them are about the roll coins. Surprise there... Also, I notice one neg is about a coin being scratched up, unlike the auction picture. The seller points to the auction pic as proof that the coin wasn't scratched. One thing I have noticed about eBay scam sellers is that they always attack buyers in neutral and negative feedback... This seller is no different. I would steer far clear of this one. I also notice that many of the positive feedback on the bank rolls have comments on how the roll has just arrived, how the seller hasn't opened the roll yet, or hints that the seller doesn't intend to open the roll. I assume if these sellers withheld their feedback until after opening rolls, there would be more neutral/negatives than just 55.
Yeah, one guy left feedback that his 09/07 roll was stuffed with 1930s culls inside. He's selling this: http://cgi.ebay.com/1922-Plain-NO-D...00?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item1c163a1a74 :rotfl: This thing is worn so flat you can't even be sure it's a 1922! And if it is, I am pretty sure the "D" would be worn away in this condition anyway. Check the price...
A fool and his money are soon parted...the seller states in the description that the images are stock photos.
