It's not a fake because it doesn't have any basis in a real design, but it's not a pattern. It's more of a fantasy piece.

I just don't understand why anybody would bother buying such a weird coin like that strange.

There are so many folk's that would not know a real coin from a fake.
the best tool is to read up on any coin U may buy!

That is a very rare pattern, patterned after the imagination of those wonderful folks in China.

Actually this is not a China piece. The first clue is that it actually says "FAXIMILE" under the eagle's wings on the reverse. These have been around for many years. The first ones were silver rounds but I'm not so sure about some i have seen on the bay

LOL. Sure, the facsimile is a hint, but a facsimile of an imaginary coin?

What amazes me is that there are other examples of this same "coin" on eBay priced at $1 "buy-it-now" with $2.75 shipping (and no "facsimile" stamp). Why someone would pay $12.50 is way beyond my understanding of the word "stupidity".
