Fake Mint Mark?

I'm considering bidding on this 1917 s TY 2 SLQ on EBay, but that "S" mint mark just doesn't look right.

It's too hard to tell from the photos, but the seller does have a 7 day return policy. Should I bid? What do you think?

I would pass on it.

 

I am having trouble seeing the MM in these photos and that alone would make me want to pass on it. If you really want the coin though, with a 7-day return policy and a 100% rating you are probably safe. TC

 

Ask for a better picture.
If he doesn't respond, then you look elsewhere.
If he DOES respond you may be able to make a better judgment.

 

You've got more than 3 days left in the auction. Why don't you ask the seller to send you a better photo of the mintmark?
