Hi all, I found this while browsing in ebay tonight: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-50-00-GOL...8159611?pt=US_World_Coins&hash=item27dfc821fb Boy, these sure look fake to me. Anyone else? -StephenS
Reported, should be taken down soon; they're just clad replicas being misrepresented as gold. They're not even intended to truly fool someone like a counterfeit coin would. Jesse
Well the word copy is right in the Indians hair brand and there is no denomination. Besides that the look of the coin is different enough that I don't think anyone unless they pay no attention to what their buying will believe these are real U.S. mint gold Buffalo coins and if they do they shouldn't be buying gold coins to begin with.
Yea, like spirityoda noted, I think these are the ones from the infomercial. IIRC, they are $9.99 per coin and are .999 gold plated clad coins.
I sent the seller a message letting her know her listing was misleading. I recommended she change it. Rather than reporting her, she might not be aware of what she is selling. She does not list any other coins, so I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt. If she doesn't change it, then I'll report it.
