Of late, I've been watching a lot of fake coins in ebay. Some guys sell absolutely rubbish stuff like never minted coins. For example, in India, everyone is looking for the 1 Rupee coin commemorating Indira Gandhi. Little they know that the coin is never minted. Only the 50 Paise commemorating Indira Gandhi is minted. Some foxes have found a cool idea. They mint the 1Rs coin commemorating Indira Gandhi. They just take a 50Paise coin and take away the picture somehow. Then it is pasted on a 1 Rupee coin. I've just now noted 2 such fake coins listed by a seller. Can we do something against these people, who are making life difficult for the coin lovers? Please take a look at the following item. The interesting thing is that the guy is selling two different types of fake coins. The beginner is sometimes tricked by such rascals. http://cgi.ebay.in/Rs-1-Indira-Gandhi-set-of-two-coins-W-W-O-Mala_W0QQitemZ8402479610QQcategoryZ107792QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
You can contact the EBay Community Coin Watch, which was set up in conjunction with the ANA to supposedly try and deal with that sort of problem; but many of us have given up on that after making dozens of reports with documentation, only to see the scammers keep on posting their garbage. China is a major source of that type of phony, with many fantasy pieces being offered as real, including tons of hype about their rarity.
Not only China, but the rest of the E. Europe has been involved with it, especially with the Russian numismatics.
I told this seller that these are not genuine coins... Here's his reply "yes! you are right! This coins not came in the circulations.Even my friend from hyderabad also told me that thos are not genuine coins. But still it's have a good value in out of india market. As one buyer offered me Rs.10000 from UK.But i want to sell it in india only. Those coins basically use for black magic in india.i hope this much is quite enough information for you.
