My boss had me take a look at a similarly altered 1944 D he wanted to sell to someone. Couldn't understand why I thought it was fake. "Because I read?" You gotta love it when you ask your "coin expert" (his words, not mine) if something's real, he tells you it's an obvious fake, and you disagree. Happened three times in the last couple of months (1914/44 D, two really bad CC Morgan forgeries.)
