    Hello,

Right now what would be a fair price to buy bu Roosevelt dimes from 46-64 in a lot/group?

Problem-free, common date, uncirculated Roosevelt dimes? Probably a couple bucks apiece.

Under 100 bucks for all of them in business strike without proofs would be a good offer.
    Altogether 46 pieces.

SOLD!! Just place your ad with photo in BST, and you have a buyer. I know you must be "kidding", but if you know of anyone. LOL

A roll of 50 circulated Mercury dimes can be bought for under $75.00. Roosevelt's are more common and less desirable. BU, I doubt it, not by your description.

And that's what I'm depending on (the "less desirable" part).
    I've got 3 sets:
    -- raw UNC
    -- slabbed MS-66/PF-67
    -- slabbed MS FT
I'm taking a shot at coming out well ahead IF/WHEN the Gov't redesigns the dime and collectors scramble to get the higher graded Roosies.
Question is will I live that long.

Doesn't seem to have happened for the common Mercury dates -- and ALL Roosevelt dates are common.

    I don't know.
    I wasn't collecting in 1945/1946.
So I don't know if the price of common Mercs jumped at that time.

Well, neither was I -- I was thinking of a jump to a new sustained level, not a short-term spike. But as I recall from looking at very early editions of the Red Book, Mercury dimes didn't really pick up much of a premium even in 1947 or so. Of course, neither the Red Book nor collectors were talking about MS66 or full bands at that time...

I hear ya but don't hold your breath. The latest designs on other denominations are to change the reverse and keep the front. The dime is so small I don't think we'll see that happen. Having a nice set like you have is great. Best wishes.

Just you wait, we will have the Obama dime before we know it!

They are hollering for a woman to be on some money now, how long before we hear the cries to have the First African-American President to be issued on some type of monetary device?

Yes, what ever happened to it?
