I hear they might be one of the most overlooked clad rosies. what would you have paid?
yeah i wasent even thinking about face value when i bid. i was browsing the coin area if the time ending soonest filter on and i seen and said cool i bid the first bid and let it go and didnt plan on bidding again. I should have bid on the other lot he had but thoes had sba's in them and i wanted the ikes. from the picture that 77 looks nice. i think this may start me off with collecting unc ikes
I'm not too big into modern clad coinage so I'm not sure what I would have paid. But I think you got a great deal!
Not a very smart seller. The sets have $7.64 cents in them. They sold for $8. After Ebay fees and paypal fees they won't even get that back. I guess they were hoping for a bidding war. Worked out well for you.
A complete ike set bu proof and silver plus dansco album seem to be selling around $150 which is nice
To put together an album, dansco, or raw uncirculated set, yes they can be inexpensive. Get into some higher grade ikes, double dies, and other varieties, and you're looking at a potentially very expensive set. Are the 76's type 1 or type 2 Ikes?
pictures are here they deserved there own post http://www.cointalk.com/threads/pic...won-for-8-including-ikes.237026/#post-1795796
