Faceless Penny?

    I work at a KMART in the florida keys and recived this one day.
    I have seen some strange tender, but not a faceless penny.
    not only is it faceless but it is also sunk in about 1cm. it deos not
    look like it was hollowed by some one, almost like a layer of copper
    was never added? I dont know. Thats why im here. Any one
    know of this kind of defect or if it is worth anything?.

    That is half of a two-tailed cent, used to win coin flips. It is hollowed to accept another tail cent that is ground to fit then glued in.
