Fabled 1979 Missouri Cent found

    Okay... not really fabled, in fact post mint damage. My son and I went through a box of cents yesterday and found two odd things. Pics below. First a 1979 (P) cent with the outline of Missouri pressed into it, and "MO" in the middle of the state. Wonder why that was done? The second my son is calling the hurricane penny- it must have got seriously caught in something spinning. Only the reverse is spun, and its smooth, except for the center, which is undamaged and you can see the memorial.

    I remember back in the '70s growing up there were a lot of punched Lincoln's out there :smile
