Laugh if you want, but I've laid in $3,750 worth of Canadian pennies for a marathon of roll-searching. $1,250 more are on the way, as the reservoir ran dry after I got to it. Here's a picture of what I've got ready to go: It's going to be fun to see what pops up. I dabbled in a small way a few years ago, and found several foreign coins in the boxes I got from the bank. This order was much too large for my branch, so I had to get them from Trillium Coin Services - a coin-sorting and -depositing company. They've likely weeded out the foreign coins, but I should stumble across some George Vs - and maybe even vintage Americans. There's been a flood of American coins, so I should find a few wheaties :smile If anyone's interested, I'm keeping statistics along the way. Any finds I have, I'll post in the huge Roll Searchers thread. Don't want to break the rules
Thanks, guys! I do plan to keep everyone informed; the roll-search thread's bookmarked. I'm not vain enough to think I rate a special thread I will keep an eye out for how coin-searcher boxes affect the haul. Part of the reason I'm doing this is to weed out coppers, and I think the percentages will be about the same as for the bank.
