This came up for auction the other day in the Heritage sale. Note that this is a series I have followed for many years and note that I have NEVER seen a specimen of this coin on the market or for sale. I would be interested if any readers have ever seen any other 1962 proof half crowns or indeed any through the 1967 year.Currently the only specimen, as would be expected, to be graded at either NGC or PCGS. The pictures from internet probably do not do the surfaces any favour although it does only have the Proof Cameo 63 grade:

I haven't seen one though I don't follow it that closely. In any case I didn't think the Royal Mint was striking many proofs at this time.

This coin in hand finally and pleased to have it - extremely rare as was said and quite pleasant.
