Do you guys see the extra leaf in the first 2 photos as compared to a normal back quarter? Any feedback is appreciated, thanks. BTW, the year of the coin in question is 1980P.
Does no one have an opinion on this? Or, is there anyone that I can send this to for a professional opinion?
This is probably from a clashed die. I can see what looks like lots of die grind and polish marks on your coin which is a pretty good indicator that the mint workers polished something off the die.
