Good day all, Do any of you know where one may find something alone the lines of a lucite or plastic display case for medals? For example, I have a few 4.5" medals I would like to display, but would prefer to do it using a case that is small and ideally not much bigger than the pair of medals. Thanks all!
If the items you want to frame are very thick, then you could use one of the frames that include a stretchable membrane window instead of a hard plastic or glass window. I have seen higher quality products sold at the major coin shows. Perhaps you could locate a nice frame from Lighthouse (Germany) or Wizard Coin Supply.

I picked up some nice wooden shadow box style, to house my mothers small wood cravings ornaments. They have some all plastic ones and numerous sizes of wood frame ones. They also can be used as table top display cases with minor modification. Removing the hangers and adding some small hinges and felt feet to the back side. They do have some small sized ones.
